METHOD OF TREATMENTS
POST-CONSTRUCTION ANTI-TERMITE TREATMENT (DRILLING)
Holes will be drilled in the cement floor on the ground floor, before "Termiticide" is pumped into the basement. The "heavy duty" drill will be used for drilling holes of 2 cm. Each hole is within 10 cm of the wall and the distance between the holes is 1.5 feet.
Holes will be drilled near the edge of the floor on the outside of the building. The position of the hole will be determined by the Pest Control Surveyor before being carried out by our Technician.
"Termiticide" will then be pumped into the hole at the rate of 5 liters / hole and the hole will be plastered with a mixture of cement or other suitable material. We will patch the holes in the color hanger as close as possible to the original cement / floor color.
Our main purpose is for a layer of chemical barrier (Treated Zone Area) in the basement of a building.
TERMITE BAITING PROGRAM
The programme is specially customized for you and your property. This programme is the best approach for protecting structure from the most common structural subterranean genus known as Coptotermes spp. because it eliminates the specific existing colony while being non-disruptive to property owners.
1.Initial Inspection
Your internal and external premises will be inspected for any signs of termite’s activity.
2.Installation Of Above Ground Station (AG)
Once termite’s activities (live/active) coptotermes sp. are detected at the coverage area, installation of above-ground (AG) unit will be carried out by our specialist.
Above Ground termite (AG) unit will be inspected 2 week later after first installation, and subsequently follow up in every 2 weeks basis before colony elimination. If one-third to half of the bait matrix has been consumed and observed active feeding continues, bait replenishment will be carried out. When feeding has not been observed for two consecutively monitoring periods, the AG stations will be removed followed by periodic inspections of the structure for renewed termite activity. The entire treatment or termite colony elimination usually take place about 2- 3 months.
After Elimination, we will continue to conduct termite Inspections at your premise Quarterly basis (every 3 month) to check for any new trace of infestation.
INSTALLATION IN-GROUND MONITORING STATION (IG STATION)
- The in-ground (IG) monitoring stations will be placed in the soil area to the building premise wherever is accessible. Distance Between IG station is 20-30 Feets
- The stations will be checked regularly for termite activity. Termites in the soil, foraging continuously for food, find and begin feeding on the monitoring devices in the IG station.
- When termites are found in one or more stations, Baitube device containing termite bait will be placed in those stations.
- The termites will feed on the bait and tunnel out and send other colony nest mates back to feed on the bait. As they do so, the colony starts to decline and will eventually by eliminated.
- After colony has been eliminated, the bait will be replaces with new monitoring device. We will continue to inspect these monitoring stations to discover a new colony that might invade your property. Thus, IG station is an on-going service to protect your structure from subterranean termite damage.
GARDEN SPRAY / SOIL TREATMENT
For Garden Spray Treatment - Our aim is to create a TREATED ZONE surrounding your building. Unlike other termiticide, termites cannot detect the treated zone, so they enter it and are immediately affected. They will stop feeding, grooming and become disoriented and eventually dead. This treatment is called Termite Power Spray Treatment and involves the use of termiticides applied into the soil, garden, Tree And infected area at building structures.
Termite power Spray Treatment –
Termiticide is to be sprayed at the garden area surrounding your building to create a treated Zone. Trees, Grass and other woods remnant surrounding your building will be sprayed too. Our use of termiticides follow the general label recommendations of its manufacturers. As part of the newer generation of termiticides, our choice is relatively environmentally-friendly.
The termiticide we use will be Imidacloprid at a final dilution of 0.05%.
The chemical will lose its strength due to constant exposure to rain. It is important to carry out this service periodically (once a year).
